Seeking Glory At 43
Hairstyle for Women Over 40
Hairstyle for Women Over 40 or Hair Woes by Neha Srivastava
And just when I am getting used to being 42, I find myself blowing a 43rd candle on my birthday cake. Whoa!
I am still trying to figure out the exact nature of my emotions this moment. Happy? – Not really. Excited?- No way. Thrilled?- You must be kidding.
But why not? Well I don’t want to word my answer. All I can say is- denial! denial! denial! Aint this common with most of the women? I have a feeling you can very much relate to what I am experiencing on my birthday today.
So this year there is an addition of 7 more silvery strands to my crowning glory. CROWNING GLORY- not sure if I can call it glory any more. More than quarter of it is gone- the glory that is. The dense, lusturous hair that you had once is now history.Trust me it bruises your ego like nothing. Your shoulders slouch and the eyes don’t know where to look. Your confidence goes for a huge toss.
Alright..alright, what makes you think I haven’t tried those hacks? You name it and I have- right from those high end spas and hair masks to our very own desi fixes; from art of deception to illusional hair styles! Nothing works- and why am I not surprised tell me. Damn those glorified ‘How to…’ blogs!
What is more alarming is you start losing hair over losing hair- I mean literally!
Let me ask you these three simple questions. Try answering honestly.
Ques 1. What first thoughts do you get when you find more greys than blacks in your hair?
Ques 2. What coping techniques do you follow when nothing works?
Ques 3. And if a hack works, how do you react?
Just wondering if all women think alike.
I would love to read your responses.
Wishing you a happy crowning glory. 🙂
