Harmanpreet Kaur scored the highest individual score by an Indian in Women’s World Cup in the semi-final against Australia and her never seen performance  was celebrated with a lot of excitement by the cricket lovers.

Leading the charge was former Indian cricketer Sanjay Manjrekar, who was watching Harmanpreet’s heroics from close range, being part of ICC’s commentary panel for the tournament.

Harmanpreet Kaur blazed an unbeaten 171 off just 115 balls in the Women’s World Cup semi-final against  champions Australia in Derby. She hit 20 fours and seven sixes, reached her century in just 90 balls, and took just 17 deliveries to get from 100 to 150. And the next highest score of the innings was just 36 (by captain Mithali Raj), just showed how Kaur commended  the innings.

Who is HarmanPreet Kaur

Harmanpreet Kaur , born 8 March 1989, ( Punjab) is an Indian cricketer who has played in 2 Tests, 49 women’s one-day internationals and 53 Twenty20 internationals for IndiaIndian women’s cricket team.[3][4]

She made her ODI debut at age of 20 against arch-rivals Pakistan women’s in March 2009 in the 2009 Women’s Cricket World Cup played at Bradman OvalBowral. In the match, she bowled 4 overs conceding 10 runs and also caught Armaan Khan off Amita Shrama.
